A browser-painting experiment

Berman introduces the reference image and the tool used by DeepSeek V4.1 Flash. He then assesses the resulting portrait.

The generated portrait
スライド 1 / 1The generated portraitThe clip shows the stylized result alongside Berman’s assessment of its limited detail.

Here is the reference headshot. I let DeepSeek V4.1 Flash use a website that replicates the basic functionality of Microsoft Paint, then compare the resulting portrait with the original. The short video does not show the complete setup or a controlled comparison.

The result is not bad: it is a very stylized, abstract version of my headshot. But it lacks detail, and I think the model did not reproduce the technique of building up one brushstroke over another. That judgment applies to this particular attempt.
