En 30 segundos

Matthew Berman criticizes what he understood as the removal of Claude Code from the Pro subscription and the lack of clear communication. The episode involved a temporary pricing-page test and does not establish that all existing Pro subscribers lost access. Anthropic's current Pro documentation again lists Claude Code, subject to plan limits.

Claude Code and Pro access

Berman reacts to an apparent pricing change and criticizes how it was communicated. The Pro listing was subsequently restored.

I see a fivefold jump in the price for using Claude Code: the pricing page appeared to remove it from lower subscription tiers, leaving the $100-a-month Max tier as the minimum. I find the way the change was communicated disingenuous and say it makes me less willing to trust Anthropic with my money.

I describe Claude Code as pulled from Pro without an announcement. The pricing-page change was temporary, however, and reporting described it as a test; the listing was restored. Anthropic's current Pro documentation includes Claude Code subject to usage limits, so the clip does not establish that all existing Pro subscribers lost access.
