RESUMEN

En 30 segundos

Berman describes an update showing humanoid robots responding to language and manipulating objects. His prediction about future household use is an outlook rather than evidence that robots can already perform every chore.

  1. 1On-device AIBerman describes a Figure Robotics update using AI on the robot.
  2. 2Object manipulationThe video shows a robot handling objects identified through language.
  3. 3Household outlookBerman anticipates future chores without establishing a deployment timetable.

Conclusiones

  1. Berman describes on-device AI and natural-language instructions for Figure robots.
  2. The video shows a robot handling objects and discusses coordination between robots.
  3. Household chores are a possible future application, not a demonstrated general capability.

A robotics update

Berman describes natural-language control and object handling.

Figure Robotics has released an update that I consider significant. I describe the robots as running AI on the device and responding to natural-language instructions; I also say they can work together without speaking.

Robot handling objects
DIAPOSITIVA 1 / 1Robot handling objectsA demonstration shows the robot interacting with objects on a table.

The video shows a robot handling objects, including a toy cactus, as I discuss identifying and manipulating household items. I find the progress striking, though the clip does not establish that it can handle any object or task reliably.

02

Potential household use

He predicts a future for robots performing chores.

I think humanoid robots that help with chores such as laundry, dishes and cleaning are getting closer. That is my prediction about the future, not a demonstration that these tasks are generally solved or available in homes.
