From the airport to Hamilton

The pair travel to Chicago and receive a surprise gift. They attend the musical and share their reactions.

Shira Lazar and Bart Baker head to the airport for a holiday trip to Chicago, followed by a visit to Stowe, Vermont. They joke about wearing matching sweatshirts and seeing many people traveling with dogs for the holidays.

On the journey, the pair joke about Baker wearing headphones and notice What’s Trending content playing on the plane. After arriving, they gather with family for an early Christmas gift.

A book about Alexander Hamilton turns out to accompany a surprise: tickets to the musical Hamilton. Lazar is delighted, and the family talks about the effort involved in obtaining the tickets.

After seeing the show, Lazar says she cried at the end and wishes she had seen it sooner. Baker says he enjoyed it, and they thank his mother before continuing their holiday plans.

02

A family holiday celebration

Lazar and Baker mark Christmas and Hanukkah, attend church and exchange gifts. They prepare for another family gathering.

The family celebrates Christmas Eve while also marking Hanukkah. Lazar says her mother wanted her Jewish heritage represented, and they light the first candle. They briefly retell the story of the oil lasting eight days.

Lazar says she has attended a Christmas church service for the first time. The pair show their matching holiday sweatshirts, joke about making videos in them and gather around the Christmas tree.

On Christmas Day, they open presents and joke with family about the gifts. Baker names a virtual-reality headset as a favorite. Later, they prepare for a party in festive sweaters and spend time with a small child.

03

Vermont and the snow

They fly to Vermont, spend time with relatives and play in the snow. They close with holiday wishes.

Back at the Chicago airport, the pair board a small plane to Burlington and continue toward Stowe. Baker says he dislikes small planes, and Lazar reassures him. They arrive near the ski slopes and visit Lazar’s relatives.

The family gathers over food and sings a playful song combining Christmas and Hanukkah greetings. Outside, Lazar and Baker play in the snow and take turns going down a hill.

The pair thank viewers for following their holiday vlog and send good wishes for Christmas, Hanukkah, other celebrations and the new year. They close by running through the snow.
