Opening the first bag
Lazar introduces her first BeautyCon haul. She and Baker try skin and hair products, sometimes reading the labels only afterward.
Shira Lazar and Bart Baker introduce a BeautyCon haul. Lazar says this was her first time attending the event and brings out two large bags of products for them to inspect together. They begin with a body peel and several lip and eye products.
Lazar tries a lip gloss while Baker comments on the result. The pair then looks at a coconut and marula-oil smoothing cream. They like its feel and smell, but initially misunderstand where it belongs.
After applying the cream to their hands, they read that it is intended for hair. Lazar says it is meant for dry hair and checks the directions. They then turn to a body moisturizer she says she already uses at home.
The next item is a hand and body scrub. They notice its sugary texture and pleasant smell, then read the directions for massaging it into the skin and rinsing it off. Their trial becomes messy, and they joke about having mixed products together.
Lazar opens individually packaged wipes and discusses carrying them while traveling. Baker asks what they are for and whether he can use one. Their exchange is mostly playful as they inspect the packaging.
Masks, makeup and accessories
The pair looks at a travel organizer, masks and a large makeup bag. They try several lip products and tools.
Lazar shows a pocket organizer designed to cling to a mirror and hold items such as brushes or a toothbrush away from a travel sink. She then displays animal-themed Korean face masks and another mask with separate areas or steps.
Inside a makeup bag they discover hair extensions, sponges, false lashes, a pencil and brushes. Lazar is excited by a large eyeshadow palette and wonders why she waited to open it. Baker questions the price of makeup sponges.
The pair tries a two-tone lipstick with a built-in mirror, but Lazar finds the application does not work as she expected. They continue with makeup remover, metallic lip color and mascara, teasing each other about the number of layers and products.
Lazar displays a compact travel brush with a mirror and another makeup sponge. They also inspect a blotting product, and Baker questions its price. A curling cream rounds out the first bag; Lazar notes that it is for hair rather than the body.
The second bag
Lazar shows more wipes, spot dots, lip products and accessories. She closes with a giveaway announcement from 2017.
The second bag includes a ring light, makeup-removal wipes, acne spot dots and another face mask. Lazar likes a small makeup bag that could also carry pencils or other items. She tries a nude lip product on Baker and opens another gloss.
They look at a red lip cream and a product intended to prevent blisters from wearing heels. Lazar says she would need to test the latter. They also examine a long-lasting brow gel and a silicone makeup applicator, joking when Baker tries to taste it.
Lazar finishes with a baked highlighter that she says can be used as blush or highlight. She closes her first haul and announces a ring-light giveaway with participation instructions specific to the 2017 video, then thanks Baker and the audience.
