Arriving at the shower
Lazar and Baker arrive and greet guests. They add a message to a book.
We are at GloZell’s baby shower, and I bring out the vlog camera after seeing that the event is also being filmed. Bart says it is his first baby shower. We greet friends and add a message to a book for the family.
Games and activities
Guests play a word-avoidance game and enjoy the party. Lazar shows a craft station and other activities.
There is a party game: each guest wears a pin and tries not to say a forbidden word. If someone catches you saying it, they can take your pin; whoever collects the most wins a prize. Guests find inventive ways to talk around the word.
The celebration includes balloons, painting, and guessing games. We head to a craft station to decorate a onesie. I suggest a design, and Bart takes over the lettering and adds details.
We show the finished onesie and watch another party game. As we leave, we collect bubbles and a small succulent and thank GloZell and her husband for inviting us to share the occasion.
Leaving the celebration
Lazar thanks GloZell and her husband. She and Baker then head to their joint birthday party.
I ask Bart how his first baby shower felt. Next we are headed to our joint birthday party: his birthday is May 5 and mine is May 6. Naturally, we are running late for our own celebration.
